RIFF FAQ
Updated 6 October 2026 · common questions about launching and trading on RIFF
What is RIFF?
RIFF is a permissionless launchpad for fixed-supply coins on Robinhood Chain. You launch a coin, called a riff, in one transaction: a real ERC20 with a fixed 1 billion supply and a Uniswap V3 pool whose liquidity is locked from launch.
What is Robinhood Chain?
Robinhood Chain is a fast Ethereum layer-2 built on the Arbitrum Orbit framework (chain id 4663), with gas paid in ETH. RIFF runs on its mainnet.
How much does it cost to launch a coin on RIFF?
One flat 0.0005 ETH launch fee, plus small layer-2 gas. There is no listing fee and no revenue share taken from your launch. See how to launch a coin.
Is the liquidity locked? Can a creator rug the pool?
Liquidity is locked from launch on every riff, and holders can verify it on-chain. Supply is fixed at 1 billion with no hidden mint, so the pool liquidity cannot be pulled.
What is the trading fee, and who earns it?
Each trade pays a 1% fee, split 80% to the creator and 20% to the protocol. The split is snapshotted per coin at launch so it never changes under you, and it is claimable on-chain anytime.
What is graduation on RIFF?
When a coin's pool reaches 4.2 ETH of liquidity, it earns a permanent, one-way on-chain graduated badge, a signal to traders.
What is a governed CTO?
A community can take over a project through a change proposed on-chain, a 14-day creator veto window, and execution only if the creator does not veto. A CTO can never route the creator's fee share to the protocol.
What is anti-snipe?
From the first block, per-wallet, per-transaction, and dev-buy caps limit how much a single actor can grab, so your first buyers are your community, not a bot with better latency.
Can I edit my coin's links after launch?
Yes. The creator can update the website, X, and Telegram on-chain at any time with setSocials.
Is RIFF safe?
RIFF's design removes common rug vectors: liquidity locked from launch, fixed supply, no hidden mint, honest fees, and contracts you can read on Blockscout. No launchpad removes market risk, and trading or launching coins is risky, so do your own research. This is not financial advice. See the Risk Notice.
